Earlier this year, I took team of climbers, ranging from impact investors to CEO’s on the @projectcchange Mount Kilimanjaro Charity Climb in a bid to raise awareness and funds for biodiversity protection. . . What was supposed to be a smooth ascent in Tanzania's DRY season ended up being a battle up the mountain through record rainfall and hail, which almost cost us the chance to summit...There is no doubt in my mind that this record rainfall is linked to muan-made climate change, linked to warmer than usual Indian Ocean and one of the hottest winters Antartica has ever experienced.. . . Putting yourself at the mercy of nature reminds you that most things in the natural world are out of your control... but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't come prepared.
